The Line Fire once again released a massive plume of smoke into the air Sunday in what fire officials described as an expected flareup.

Residents were ordered to evacuate from Seven Oaks, a mountain community south of Big Bear Lake and north of Highway 38, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday afternoon. Emergency personnel were actively working in the area and firefighting aircraft were on order.

Nearly a month after it was reportedly intentionally started, the more than 43,000-acre Line Fire continues to prompt mandatory evacuations orders and warnings for residents in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Flare-ups in the San Bernardino National Forest have prompted officials to issue new evacuation orders as firefighters continue battling the Line Fire, which has been burning for nearly a month. Containment of the wildfire in the San Bernardino County mountains dropped to 76 percent early this week.
