The Des Moines police department has arrested and charged a woman with the murder of her mother, who police say was just 69 pounds when she died.

Detectives with the Des Moines Police Department say officers and medical personnel were sent to a home in the 5300 block of Urbandale Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on June 14, 2023, for a report of a cardiac arrest.
