What might have been Max Fried’s final season in an Atlanta Braves uniform has come to a close. Ideally, general manager Alex Anthopoulos would love to keep him around. He didn't just have positive comments for Fried in Friday's press conference.

Those were among the many comments from Anthopoulos and manager Brian Snitker during a season-review video call with Atlanta reporters Friday, two days after the Braves were eliminated at San Diego in two games in the first round. Since winning the 2021 World Series, the Braves have lost all three of their playoff series.

Following the departures of Freddie Freeman and Dansby Swanson in recent years, fans can’t help but wonder if Max Fried pitched his final game for Atlanta on Wednesday.

Fried, who has spent all eight seasons of his career with the Braves, will become a free agent this offseason.
