Lauren Boebert, the controversial rightwing lawmaker who was first elected to Congress in 2020, has won reelection in Colorado.

Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert has won in a House district in Colorado where she moved midway through the election cycle to avoid what would have been a tough reelection bid in her old district.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, the polarizing congresswoman from Colorado, won a House seat in a new district after opting to seek reelection in a more firmly Republican area. She defeated Democratic nominee Trisha Calvarese, a former speechwriter for the AFL-CIO.

Boebert, a rabble-rouser who’s helped define an ultra-conservative flank of the U.S. House, took a gamble in moving races, and it paid off.
