The Texas Department of Public Safety is honoring Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Alexis Ramirez Vasquez, who died on Sept. 28 after being struck by a vehicle while investigating a crash in Ector County.

Law enforcement officials from across West Texas gathered at the CAF Hangar in Midland to honor the life and service of fallen DPS Trooper Kevin Ramirez Vasquez.

The fallen trooper’s parents and three siblings were surrounded by family and friends as they said their final goodbyes.
