Joe Musgrove will not be available to pitch in the NLDS against the Padres. That’s the extent of the update that Padres manager Mike Shildt provided in Friday’s meeting with reporters ahead of the team workout at Dodger Stadium, although he noted that more information would come later in the day.

Musgrove is just the latest pitcher to sustain a UCL injury this season, including Atlanta’s Spencer Strider, Cleveland’s Shane Bieber, Toronto’s Alek Manoah, and Miami’s Eury Pérez.
