PA names Jack Lefley as new editor-in-chief - Journalism News …
WEB2 days ago · PA media has announced the appointement of a senior executive with erstwhile London daily The Standard as its new editor-in-chief. Jack Lefley, pictured, will take over the reins at the national news agency from Pete Clifton in the New Year.. Jack, 46, moves from the role of managing editor of The Standard, which last week went weekly after 200 years as a daily.
Editor of two weeklies to step down after nine years

Phil Creighton started up Wokingham Today in 2015 and followed it up with Reading Today in 2021. Now he is bowing out as editor, but the newspapers are to continue with a successor due to be appointed shortly.
Prize fund worth £100,000 on offer for ‘tenacious journalism’

National World wants to put an end to what it calls the “industrialised approach to churning releases” and free-up its reporters to focus on original story content.
